The East Kilbride Pool League currently uses “blackball” rules.

On January 1, 2006, “Blackball” rules were introduced world-wide. The idea is that blackball should unify the various existing rule-sets.

Taking the best parts of the all the main types of rules. These rules are sanctioned by the World Pool Association. The governing body for blackball in Europe is the European Blackball Association.
